總統選舉首場辯論，國民黨總統參選人朱立倫28日表示，應從「4報1社」及公視舉辦首場共識開始，接下來歡迎各媒體分別舉辦。不過，民進黨堅持打破這項共識，要求由三立電視舉辦，國民兩黨參選人對首場總統辯論由誰主辦僵持，總統選舉首場辯論陷入難產。
朱立倫是在28日下午出席新店區馬公公園觀光產業後援會上，對民進黨堅持由三立電視舉辦總統選舉辯論，會後接受媒體採訪時，作了上述表示。
朱立倫說，過去總統選舉首場辯論，已有由4報1社（《中國時報》、《自由時報》、《聯合報》、《蘋果日報》、中央通訊社）及公共電視舉辦的共識，這是大家已經都有的共識，也是媒體的共識，他反問民進黨，為什麼要先從單獨的、特定的媒體？
此外，對台北市長柯文哲稱頂新案一審無罪判決是最大催票行為，朱立倫表示，這個審判對執政黨選情有傷害，但也證明一件事，就是法院不是國民黨開的，他支持所有的上訴。
